Coral Bay Beaches:Excellent, wide sandy beaches overlooked by luxury hotels and restaurants surround Coral Bay. If you prefer a quieter beach experience you can make your way to Lara Bay which is the nesting site for Green and Loggerhead turtles.
Akamas Peninsula:The Nature Reserve of Akamas starts close to Coral Bay and continues all the way up the coast to Aphrodite Baths and the picturesque town of Polis.
This is a beautiful area of Coral Bay with rocky coastline and unique sea caves to explore by kayak or with experienced divers.
The Lara/Toxeftra area is protected under the Fisheries Law, Cap 135, and Regulations. The purpose of the legislation is to protect the nesting turtles and their eggs and hatchlings, near and on the nesting beaches. The Protected Area starts at Aspros (near Ayios Georghios) in the south and extends to Argaki tou Yousouphi in the north (about 3 km north of the Lara Turtle Station).
Apart from shopping, or the beach, the major attraction of Coral Bay is its diving treasures. The dive companies in the town offer courses for beginners so even if you have never tried this, you are not excluded. The following are some of the diving sites of Coral Bay: Maninji Island: Between 8 and 20m deep this is regarded as the most scenic dive on the coast with cliffs, caves coral and 'swim throughs'.
Coral Bay Karting:
This is an excellent option for all ages, with go-karts for adults and children on a 500m circuit. There is also a games centre and a children's playground.
There are superb Luxury villas all around the Coral Bay Area, most have private swimming pools and all are close walking distance to the beautiful beaches.
